TOUCHtalks, a series of presentations by people who inject human qualities into their digital interactions in a way that strengthen community relations, will host its third event next month. Constable Pete McKenna of the Ottawa Police Service, will be our speaker on Wednesday, March 4, from 7pm-8pm at Pressed Ottawa (Google map).

Cst. McKenna became a police officer in 2002, first as a patrol officer in the West End then joining the Motorcycle Unit in 2007.  He adopted Twitter as a communication and outreach tool for his current role as Special Events Information Officer. McKenna allocates some of his personal time to serve as a digital volunteer for the Red Cross. And… he’s a very human online
