Twelve years, tomorrow

We once celebrated with Kraft Dinner and friends. Another year we spent the evening at Chapters and then had a late dinner at Kettleman’s. Last year we struggled with news that our insurance broker had misled us regarding the insurance coverage he’d hyped up and sold to us.

Yes. Andrea and I have a weird way of celebrating our anniversary. In fact, most years neither of us remember the exact date we were married. I guess you could say we celebrate our marriage every day rather than make a big deal of it once a year.

Today, our two daughters bought groceries and gifts, and spent most of the day making a fabulous four course meal (home made caesar salad, salmon bisque, fresh salmon and pumpkin pie) to celebrate our twelfth anniversary (apparently it’s tomorrow). It was amazing. Not just great food, but great atmosphere, complete with fancy candles and a table cloth — unusual for our meals.

What wasn’t unusual was the cleanup fight. Some things will never change.

Happy anniversary, Andrea. And, thank you Lucy and Bayla for a (twice) memorable evening. I am truly lucky.

This was the best anniversary celebration ever!
