Last month I released the first in a series of interviews I’m conducting with my friend Whitney Hoffman. I noted in that first instalment that Whitney is just a few procedural steps away from being the Democratic name on the ballot for District 160 (Pennsylvania) in this coming November election.
As I record the intro to this podcast, Whitney is going door to door to meet people in her district and learn more about their concerns. We can trumpet how digital is playing an increasingly important role in political communication and democratic engagement all we want, election campaigns still require a solid foundation of in-person contact.
On this edition of digital public affairs, Whitney brings us up to date on strengthening her web presence, fundraising and debating, and how her social media community activities have helped prepare her for a run for office.
