I often blog about videos which are impactful. The common thread with each is they grab me by the heart and find a permanent home in my head. Like still images, the written word, and audio, video can be an incredibly powerful medium to reach an audience. The problem is that video is often used rather than harnessed.

It comes down to this… If a video doesn’t make the viewer feel something, it’s less likely the viewer will pay attention to it or remember what it stands for.

I will remember this video for Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children or a LONG time — though I think it would be more powerful without the “this is why we fight” message at the end. The “this is why” message is extremely well-delivered throughout the video. The creators didn’t need to spell out a message that was more powerfully and memorably delivered throughout the video.
